I pay with a credit card for most things, but plenty of shops and restaurants still only take cash, so I always pull out some yen. My usual move is using my Schwab debit card at a 7-Eleven ATM, since Schwab refunds the ATM fees. This time I went to withdraw and realized I'd packed my expired card. I panicked for a second, then remembered I'd brought my SoFi debit card as a backup. I figured I'd just accept whatever fees came with it. It worked on the first try. I didn't see any ATM fee, only the small Mastercard conversion fee that SoFi doesn't cover. Which is still very close to the conversion you search online.

I'm a fresher with limited full-time experience, and my only relevant prior experience is a two-month internship in M&A at a large investment banking firm. My long-term goal is to build a career in investment banking, particularly M&A, but I'm finding it difficult to transition into the field as a fresher. I'm not getting many relevant interview opportunities, and I'm concerned that staying in my current role for too long might make the transition harder. I'm also preparing for the CFA and have a working knowledge of financial modelling, DCF valuation, and other valuation methodologies.
