The onboarding has been awful, I barely have any support, and most days I’m sitting alone in an empty office because my WFH request still hasn’t been approved, despite me following up multiple times, even though my offer stated that the position was hybrid. It’s making me question whether corporate life is even for me because I always thought that if you worked hard, kept your head down, and did your job well, that would be enough. But I’m realizing there’s so much more to it, especially office politics and navigating workplace dynamics. I’m exhausted from constantly trying to prove myself and find my footing. I’m only five years into my career after graduating, and I genuinely don’t know how I’m supposed to do this for another 30 or 40 years until retirement if I’m already feeling this drained.
