Crazy to think about what a secular bull market we’ve been born into. From 1966 - 1982 SP500 was flat while inflation eroded ~14.3% of purchasing power. From 2000-2013 SP500 was flat with massive volatility. Reminder markets don’t have to crash, they can simple just not go up

I marked this NSFW because of a horrible event that happened near me. Recently retired neighbor and good friend died in an auto accident and left his wife with money, but no knowledge of how to manage it. My wife and his wife are close and my wife let me know about his wife's issues. It is too soon to even offer to help, but I will help if asked. My wife would be in a similar condition if something happened to me. This scares me. FIRE stuff everyone needs to be part of:

Why is the market mostly red today? The main catalyst is the bond market. Yesterday, oil and Treasury yields eased, helping stocks rally. Today they’re rising again: Iran-war uncertainty is keeping oil elevated, while the 10-year Treasury yield has moved back above

$STZ has broken below the ~$127 support after months of weakening price action. Selling pressure has accelerated, with price now around $117.50. A failure to reclaim $127 could keep the broader downtrend intact.

A weekly candlestick chart of Constellation Brands ($STZ) shows the stock breaking below the ~$127 support level, now trading around $117.50 with a -5.22% loss and a -45.6% decline noted near current price action. The chart illustrates a multi-month downtrend with the stock decisively exiting a consolidation range formed between late 2025 and 2026, supporting the bearish technical outlook described.

Should I put it on the resume ? I am a new grad with a bit of capital markets experience here and there. I got laid off in May, after that I started to work in my family’s own family office . I just wondering should I put this family office experience on my resume ? It’s a real job that involve every aspect of buy side equity research. It’s not going to pass the background check in North America if they ever asked for contract or anything like it. However I can get an employment letter from the PM whom is in Asia as well as a point of contact. I just wondering should I put this on my resume for future employment because I would still very much like to work for a professional company first.

How much are you considering national Macros into your investing decisions? Really not an expert in this - hope it does not come across as a lazy post. Up until today, I mainly looked at where the businesses and revenues came from. If the business had a global reach (or at least international), I would hardly look at macros. But today, I must say that some situations do worry me, and it starts to daunt me. For instance, in France, the national debt is tremendous - frankly catastrophic and next year's elections are going to be extremely high stakes (most likely scenario: far-right vs far-left). A France bankruptcy sounds so weird, but it actually looks pretty likely and not too long.

Founders keep asking me what an SPV is and whether they need one. Here's the plain version. An SPV (special purpose vehicle) is a separate entity that pools money from several investors and invests it in your company as one line on your cap table. Why founders like it: One cap table entry instead of fifteen small checks to manage. One signature on documents instead of chasing a dozen people. Smaller investors can participate without each one needing a direct relationship with you.

I became profitable after 2 years! I started trading back in 2024 October, and since then I lost like all my savings in few months and then I was in a phase where I was trying different indicators, groups, signals etc but never seemed to work especially because of my gambling mindset. It seems like the hardest thing I have ever done was to be okay with losses and not revenge trade because that is absolutely pointless. I got into funded account, I would buy instant accounts only and would blow it right in a week or two even I would make some profits, then somehow by luck I got first payout then after that I blew like 5 more accounts back in start of 2026. Then I got a second payout, again almost by a luck. And few days ago, I got a 3rd payout which I got based on my own strategy. I wasted a lot of time and money tho I trade smallest accounts and soon I'm trying to scale. I was so stucked with finding a magical strategy but there was none, I kept shifting them and never made profit. Finally, I found my edge and I'm looking forward to keep getting payouts, I started doing extreme risk management and focusing on risk-to-reward ratio. My big issue was that I was trading a lower time frame like 5 mins and I would usually get stopped out then trade goes in my direction. So instead I shifted to higher time frame like hourly. I trade Gold only but that's what I have been trading since beginning.
