On September 16, 2026, my account was hit with an automated 90-day crypto withdrawal restriction after I attempted to send USDC for a private peer-to-peer purchase (buying physical Pokémon cards and legal dietary supplements / creatine from an individual)[1]. Because this was an informal P2P deal between private individuals, there are no commercial tax invoices, but it was a 100% genuine transaction authorized by me. Despite this, Kraken's automated risk filters flagged the transfer and locked my crypto withdrawals for 3 months[1].
