BitMEX/BitMart alternatives: Where do you think users will go? Every time an exchange exits the market or scales back its services, there’s always a wave of users looking for a new home. This time feels similar. BitMEX has traditionally attracted more experienced derivatives traders, while BitMart has been popular with retail users looking for a wide range of altcoins. Since those two groups have different trading habits, I’m curious whether they’ll end up choosing the same platforms or split across different exchanges. I did some research, Binance, Bybit, OKX and MEXC seem to come up the most in these discussions. MEXC is particularly interesting as it appears to combine broad altcoin coverage with spot and futures, seems fit for both BitMEX traders and users who mainly traded smaller-cap coins on BitMart.
