Hyperscale Weekly #10 (13โ€“19 Jul) โ€” shards that heal themselves: fox shipped a full halt-recovery system in 60 commits **Hyperscale Weekly** follows fox (flightofthefox) building **hyperscale-rs** โ€” the sharded Rust implementation of Radix funded by the Xi'an community proposal โ€” and translates his commits into plain English. This is week 12 of Milestone 1 (Adaptive Sharding), roughly 70% through. **The week in one line:** a complete halt-recovery system now lets a frozen shard be detected, re-staffed, and restored without losing or duplicating a single cross-shard transaction. If last week was about proving the reshape math, this week was about making shards survive the worst:

Radix Weekly #10 (13โ€“19 Jul) โ€” seven Permanent RAC candidates in one afternoon, wallet MFA friction, and a mid-August DAO deadline **Radix Weekly** distills the main Radix Telegram chat (~24k members) into a weekly digest. This issue covers 13โ€“19 July: **527 messages from 131 people**, boiled down below. **The week in one line:** seven Permanent RAC candidates stepped up in a single afternoon, turning a recruitment crisis into real momentum for community governance. **Permanent RAC candidates finally emerge** โ€” after weeks of zero volunteers, djtrebel [self-nominated](https://radixtalk.com/t/self-nomination-for-the-permanent-radix-rac/2313) on Wednesday, and within hours mx472, linuxx_xrd, a137x, jwxrd, LeonetsXRD and gilesmorris followed โ€” filling or exceeding the seven seats. projectShift framed the role as governance steward, not DAO management:

The image presents a side-by-side comparison between Ethereum's 2017 Vitalik Buterin sharding FAQ questions and Radix Hyperscale (Cerberus) solutions, highlighting five key concerns like security, cross-shard composability, and validator redistribution alongside Radix's Cerberus Consensus answers, emphasizing "Two Visions. One Goal: Massive Scale Without Compromise."

Is there any L1 with technology comparable to Radix that still has x10 or x100 potential? I've been researching different Layer 1s lately, and I'm genuinely curious. Does anyone know another blockchain that combines things like: Native mutable Layer 1 NFTs Native permissions and access control Asset-oriented programming instead of token standards Atomic composability

3/ Radix solves this with the Transaction Manifest. It operates like an execution script to batch complex moves. An agent can string together ten different component calls into one atomic transaction. They all pass or they all fail.
