OP_RETURN on eCash $XEC is permanent. Once a tx with an OP_RETURN is mined, that data stays in the chain forever. eTokens (SLP/ALP) live in those outputs—unspendable by design, indexed by Chronik, capped around 223 bytes. Not a side database. The payload is the blockchain.
