The cross-chain swaps were primarily routed through THORChain. Due to the sheer size of the transactions, the laundering activity also

· 2026-04-23T00:54:25+00:00In just one and a half days, the KelpDAO hacker's 75,700 ETH ($175 million) has now been almost entirely swapped for BTC. The hacker primarily used the THORChain protocol to cross-chain swap ETH for BTC, and the hacker's activity also brought THORChain $800 million in trading
· 2026-04-23T22:22:03+00:00Btw @THORChain earned ~$450K in fees from @KelpDAO hackers' ETH → BTC swapping. The 24H swap volume hit $360M vs. roughly $20M on an average day. If you think this sounds insane, that's because it is.
· 2026-04-23T16:38:26+00:00The cognitive dissonance around Thorchain is always hilarious. After almost 2 decades there are less than 5 chains that are truly decentralized and have any semblance of product market fit. People truly hate Thorchain for actually doing what every other chain pretends to do.
· 2026-04-23T11:56:27+00:00Thorchain once again supporting crime. Returning the swap profits should be the bare minimum here. Thorchain maxis will say "its not laundering bc its transparent" but at the end of the day facts are facts: DPRK used Thorchain as part of their laundering operations.

· 2026-04-23T16:56:03+00:00Recent events have been a wake-up call for crypto, and rightfully so. The freedom to use DeFi means nothing when safety is just an afterthought. Here’s how Rujira and @THORChain are built differently, with Secured Assets and an open decentralized infrastructure at the core
· 2026-04-23T20:39:03+00:00I was just trying to do a Dash swap using my old Trezor, and couldn't get it to work. Now I'm considering getting a Ledger replacement. Hey @Tangem , get NEAR and THORChain swaps up and running and maybe I won't have to!

· 2026-04-23T00:49:51+00:00Every time it’s the same story… « Funds being laundered through Thorchain bla bla bla » Imagine this, a thief steal money from a bank and use a road to get to his hideout. Is the road guilty of what the thief does with the money ? No Does the road allow to track the thief ?
· 2026-04-23T15:27:59+00:00$910K in fees generated. " @THORChain is the exception." both of these are true at the same time. that's the product.
· 2026-04-23T16:47:05+00:00Earliest painting of the Kelpian politician Arbitrumus Censorius, an early advocate of full 1-of-1 toothpick security and arbitrary fund freezing and confiscation. A noted critic of permissionless DEXes. Would probably have hated @THORChain .

· 2026-04-23T00:30:00+00:00Freedom tech always has a dark side. THORChain just laundered $80 million for the Kelp DAO exploiter. 34.5K ETH swapped to Bitcoin via its protocol. Its nodes are neutral. The code is law. But, where do we draw the line for pariah states?
· 2026-04-23T16:56:20+00:00Different blockchains often function like isolated islands. To connect them, crypto has relied on many different types of bridges to meet the growing demand for interoperability. THORChain has taken a fundamentally different approach to cross-chain design, one built to reduce
