The market price for $STRC is sending a clear signal to the firm about the upcoming change in dividend payout. @phongle @CJ_Bitcoin @AdamBLiv [Spoken audio]: Good afternoon, folks. This is Josh. I hope this message finds you. Well, I've had a few questions from people about what's going on with STRC It's had a notable down trade today Today would be the date that you would want to sell it if you're doing it just owning it just for the dividend arbitrage Let me explain that different arbitrage viewers like to buy high Yielding dividend stocks right up before the record date and then sell it right after the record date once they've captured the dividend So they're just trying to make that money. And if they can trick people, let's say into buying it relatively unchanged on the day The very next morning then they get to make the entire dividend But this case is a very high dividend. It's been paying out 96 cents and on June 30th It will pay roughly a dollar 96 cents to share Holver. And so people are bought it Presumably look for it to go down less than 96 cents in the morning before they can sell it But let's take a look today. It's down three points That's a lot more than 96 cents. So the dividend arbitrage yours are being punished. And quite frankly, you know, I don't have any bad feeling about that because they're really just looking to make free money. They're they're not sort of participating in the funding of the company's effort to buy Bitcoin, or the company's effort to survive in general. So no, I'm not going to cry for them. But I will observe this. The market does speak to you. It tells people what to do a lot of times. For instance, the bond market often tells the Fed what they should do. It gives pretty clear signs and signals. In this case, this preferred stock market is giving us a pretty clear signal at a price of $91.98. Guess what the effective yield is? It's exactly 12.5%. So what they're saying is now no longer is 12%, the yield that we think we need to earn to buy it right here right now at 92 we need 12 and a half percent yield okay now if the firm is looking at that then one could infer from that that they're going to increase the yield from 11 and a half percent to 12 percent 12 and a half percent now that would be a big move but what's interesting to me I noticed is that they didn't have to stipulate today I don't think what the payout was going to be for July 15th for record 8 June 30th they could have left that tbd you you know, and waited till the, you know, another two weeks until the end of the month. But they've already stipulated here on the website that's going to be 11.5%. So that's another unchanged. And that's sort of probably burning some of the dividend arbitrage. Or maybe that's the point. You know, maybe these guys are actually trying to weed out those free riders, for lack of a better term. So, but the market's saying, listen, take a look here. Right now, we want 12.5%. That's what they're saying. And if you want to find a marginal buyer right now, you have to sell it at 9179. And that's 12.5% yield. Now, they could decide to look instead at the one month BWAP 9680. And the way you would calculate that implication is you would say, well, let's take 11.5%, right? 11.5 and divided by 0.968 9680. And that grosses up to 11.88. So, the next round here will be 12%. So they could decide to increase the yield to 12% from 11.5%. I don't think any 25 basis point moves are going to really be taken well by the market, at least not given the way things are being priced right now. Now you could talk about the change in cadence, well that should already be priced and people should already be aware of what's going on. But the importance of the change in cadence is this, is that if this current yield was leftfully paying a dollar a month, you would expect the next day for the price to drop by a dollar first thing in the morning. Once it changes and we get to the next cadence on June 30th, then the drop will only be 50 cents. It won't be as much. So the arbitrage era is not going to collect as much if he catches some people off guard and sells it unchanged all day. And that's what they're always looking to do. They're looking to catch resting orders and buy it, make it full of dividends trading roughly on 100 and then sell it at 99.97 and be out of it, which is what I did to be honest with you, but I bought something that lost more money even so go figure. Anyway, so that's what's going on. I think it's unusual that they chose to stipulate this 11.5% already. So we know now that as of June 30th, if you own it, right, you are going to get the dividend of 96 cents, but you also immediately going to be entitled to the dividend for the next pay update, which which is July 15. And so it starts to have this pattern of having the dividend X date be the same as the payout date, which is interesting. Anyway, that's all I wanted to add to the answer to what I think is going on here. I think the dividend arbitrage, your players are getting burned. And maybe that's for the best. Have a good day.

Fred Krueger @dotkrueger · 2026-06-16T21:13:59+00:00

The issue with keeping STRC at par is that you're effectively offering a money-back guarantee to anyone who wants out. If a large number of holders head for the exits simultaneously, the only way to maintain the $100 price is to raise the dividend until new buyers emerge.

Matthew R. Kratter #BIP-110 @mattkratter · 2026-06-16T14:05:39+00:00

It appears that something is fundamentally broken with $STRC . It just went ex-dividend and is still quite far from $100. I don't think this has happened before. Expect Saylor to keep diluting MSTR bros to try to fix this. Good time to be holding real BTC in self-custody

How can Saylor fix $STRC ?

Chris Millas @ChrisMMillas · 2026-06-16T16:00:00+00:00

If the recent performance of $SATA is being driven by the move to daily dividends, then there is a high probability that it will force Strategy’s hand on $STRC to follow suit.

Peter Schiff @PeterSchiff · 2026-06-16T14:19:50+00:00

$STRC is trading at 93.5. That means investors who paid $100 are already down 6.5% on an investment @Saylor promoted as being safe for retirees who prioritize principal protection. Also, the current yield is 12.3%. $MSTR must raise the 11.5% yield to 12.3% in order to issue more.

$SATA from Strive back above par after a two-week drought — 511 ATM shares in pre-market, first minute just under $100. ~0.3 BTC estimated so far. First ATM activity since yesterday's 141k share session broke the dry spell. STRC.live

Ragnar @RoaringRagnar · 2026-06-16T20:50:41+00:00

The $STRC effective yield is now at ~12.50%. Not bad. It seems it wants to catch up with $SATA one way or another.

In the image, there is a screenshot of a cell phone screen displaying an account summary for STRC and its effective yield. The summary indicates that the STRC's effective yield is at 12.5% and has been calculated as $3.51 over three months ago at $81.58. Another important point to note in this post would be that STRC price is down 3.41 (3.41) points from where it was a day before, which suggests that the trader should take advantage of the current low price and sell his shares.

@Strategy and @Strive increased dividend payment frequency for preferred shareholders, with $STRC moving to semi-monthly payouts and $SATA launching daily dividends.

$STRC just dropped to $93 again. Last time we saw these levels (June 5), $BTC was sitting at $60,000. This is not a good sign. BTC will revisit $60,000 sooner than most people expect.

The image is a screenshot of a trading chart that displays the current trend in Bitcoin prices. The chart shows that Bitcoin's value has been decreasing over the past week, with its lowest point occurring at $93 on July 5th. It is worth noting that the price was just below $60,000 on June 5th. This downward trend may have an impact on trading decisions and strategies for those involved in the cryptocurrency market. The post related to this image discusses how Bitcoin has been seen at $60,000 a few days ago, which suggests that the current value could reach or even exceed this level soon.

$STRC is giving me $LUNA vibes I’m sure most weren’t around in 2022 when Luna depegged. The stablecoin was called UST or something similar. I remember it first depegged to like 0.95 but repegged right away. Then it depegged even more to like 0.75-0.80. People were saying it was a buying opportunity of a lifetime. Except this time it didn’t repeg close to 1. Eventually went lower and then the crash happened. Right now STRC is looking juicy at 0.91 but why hasn’t it repegged since BTC recovered like the previous 3-4 times. Doesn’t make sense. What’s everyone’s input on this?
