Been saying this for a long time, because it's obvious that payments apps / neobanks are already representing stablecoin balances simply as dollars. No one cares who the issuer is, as long as it's regulated, audited, and safe to use.

Scaling a stablecoin business raises a hard question: how much of the stack can you afford not to control? In this clip from Stablecoin Builder Series Ep. 7, Leandro Meneses of Mandioca explains why treasury visibility, owned wallets, compliance, and liquidity access matter. [Spoken audio]: Mandioka has grown a lot in the last two years. What's your perspective on what's the most important thing that you have had to take control in this stack? Is it the liquidity partners? Is it the wallet infrastructure, the support, client support? Like, what are your thoughts on that? Yeah, so one thing that is very important is that operators, they must control orchestration and visibility. You definitely need to start controlling the treasury. So owning the wallets, it's very, very important. After that, you need to have control of your compliance of your KYB process and your KYC processes, making sure that even if you're using a third party provider that you always have all of the documentations on your own that you can custody those documents as well. And then of course is the liquidity. The liquidity part is more on the revenue aspect because the closest you are to the liquidity, the most effective or the smaller your spread is going to be. So your margin is going to be bigger but I feel that without having control of the treasury with wallet infrastructures like with Utila for instance you're never going to have the control.
