A Look at $QRL For those unfamiliar with it, ECDSA.fail is a research challenge focused on optimizing quantum circuits for solving the elliptic-curve discrete logarithm problem (ECDLP) underlying ECDSA, the signature scheme used by Bitcoin, Ethereum and much of today's crypto ecosystem. The researchers are exploring how efficiently this could potentially be done on a future fault-tolerant quantum computer and competing to reduce the resources required compared with previous circuit designs. Interesting development on ECDSA.fail. Progress seemed to stall for a while, and researchers actually had to take a few steps back by adding more qubits.
