"Alex & the team said: give us one of your biggest & thorniest problems - we'll do it for nothing.......and if we fix it, & fix [Spoken audio]: Income's Palantir so I'm gonna tell a story and you can Scott my chief digital and innovation officers there You can give me a high sign if I'm if I'm telling anything you don't want me to share But I remember when Palantir was presented to us through Scott shop Alex Karp and the team came in and we all became very fast friends because what I just shared with you are The same observations Palantir had with us and then Alex and the team said give us one of your biggest and thorniest problems, or maybe thorniest, one of your hardest problems to solve, we'll do it for nothing, at least initially. They're worth every penny, they're worth every penny. But at that moment, it was like, give us a problem, we'll deploy Foundry, we'll deploy AIP, we'll deploy our engineers, because that's part of the secret sauce from the consumer, from the customer perspective. And if we fix it, and we fix it correctly, we want a bigger relationship with you. Well, they did just that. They fixed it. They did it correctly. They did it in a sustainable way. And they did it fast, which is key. I mean, really fast. What would have taken us maybe a year or two to do, they did it in a couple of months. And I was stunned by it, because they didn't jeopardize quality for speed. They had it figured out. And so the relationship is six or seven years old now, very deep. Palantir is the analytics platform for the health system completely. Palantir is changing our DNA. It's driving better quality. It's driving better cost. And it's creating better value for the consumer. And can I give one quick example? Or am I still in it? All right, you can give me the hook. And I can get out of here. But let me give you one example. As a consumer, because I want to hit you with this like, OK, what does all that mean, John? Let me explain. Leading cause of death in the United States is septicemia. It's the number one cause of death in hospitals in the country. It's actually the number one cause of death in the world, quite frankly, but clearly in the United States. It's not because doctors and nurses don't know how to treat septicemia. It's because it's insidious. It's hard to diagnose, and oftentimes it's diagnosed too late, and the providers are chasing it instead of getting ahead of it, getting in front of it, right? The average mortality rate in the country with septicemia fluctuates somewhere between 15 and 18%. When we started this work with, not just Palantir, but with GE Healthcare at the beginning, our mortality rate was around 10%. Today, it's at 5.3%. What does that mean? It means that almost 900 people have gone home to their families to live their lives who otherwise would have been dead. This is the power of AI. This is the power of predictive analytics. This is the power of partnerships like this. And this is a great example of innovation. We need more innovation in our industry. We need more folks that are investors in private equity and venture capital. We need more entrepreneurs to help us out of this morass that we're in as an industry in the country. Palantir has done that. I've got somebody who watches in a command center, maybe twice the size of this room, 16 clinical indicators, 24 hours a day, seven days a week for patients that are on the sepsis protocol. If something happens from a telemetry perspective or a physiological perspective, it points them into the medical record. Our doctors and nurses dig into the medical record and they deploy diagnostic, therapeutic, and multidisciplinary teams to the bedside to save lives. This isn't AI taking jobs. This is AI making the people in the system better and more resilient and more highly reliable, lower improving quality, lowering cost and creating real value for those patients and the physicians and nurses treating those patients. That's the power of the relationship that we have and what Kathy has been talking about to all of you. So I can add a little bit to that. I was at an all-in conference about a year ago or maybe a little less. And one of the features at all in was Palantir. And I think the head of your nurses was at the conference. She brought her daughter. And you always get a really good sense of, OK, what you just said is very interesting and lots of leadership and top down there. But talking to the people who are using it, she is in love with Palantir. She is in love when you hear it at that level and she wants more. So I would love to learn more. We own Palantir. It is one of our highest conviction stocks in our portfolio when it comes to AI. But it took a while to learn what Palantir was. Many people still think it's a consulting company. It is not. It is not a consulting company, although there is a lot of consultation involved. It is a company that helps companies like Tampa General learn what they call their ontology, their own enterprise's language. And that language comes through clearly in data that they pull together. And so they have 80% gross margins. That is not consulting. So, Ted, maybe you can. 8%? Muscle tough. Yeah. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
