Introducing peaq Economics 2.0: upgraded to set machines free Most token models flinch when price drops. peaq's new economics don't. Designed to turn real machine adoption into omnichain revenue, structural demand for $PEAQ , and a tighter supply through bonding and burn

What I actually like about the new direction of @peaq : Before, peaq was just another L1. Which means it had every L1's problem: bootstrapping liquidity is brutally hard, without liquidity you don't get users onchain, and without users onchain there's no real usage for the token.

The image is a five-step infographic illustrating peaqOS's provisioning flow: (1) peaqOS activates and creates a Machine ID onchain, (2) the operator pays $0.20/yr per machine in USD (Basic Tier) with the oracle recording the PEAQ/USD rate onchain, (3) the Provision Pool swaps USD to PEAQ (split 50% Treasury, 50% Trust Validator staking), (4) PEAQ is permanently bonded to the Machine ID (non-escrow, non-recoverable), and (5) Economic Weight is created that grows with every renewal. This supports the post's point by showing how peaq shifts from being just another L1 to generating real, recurring onchain token demand—machine operators continuously swap USD for PEAQ every renewal cycle, bootstrapping organic liquidity and usage rather than relying on speculative trading.

The most important change IMO in @peaq Economics 2.0 is that it gives the token a clear role Instead of being used mainly for payments: → Machines bond $PEAQ to build trust → Operators can pay however they want → More machines mean more bonded tokens → The network grows

This actually has the power to sustain good demand for $PEAQ , let's see if the machines will like it..

Introducing peaq Economics 2.0: upgraded to set machines free

peaq @peaq · 2026-07-30T13:07:35+00:00

In March, the Purple Paper made a promise: peaq's economics would be upgraded Now the full Economics 2.0 paper is live — every mechanism, every flow, in the open. The implementation begins in the next 4 to 6 weeks, alongside the launch of the Machine Explorer — a live dashboard
