After asking a question in the monero telegram (official) about kycless buying of Bitcoin to swap to monero, I was cold approached by someone telling me they could swap cash for monero at Walgreens using cash app. I was obviously skeptical at first, but it seemed somewhat reasonable with an 80% conversion rate which wasn't ideal. After a bit of a back and forth I asked if we could use prepaids instead since the method provided by him (scanning a barcode and handing over cash to have Walgreens apparently initiate and perform the transaction for me) wasn't ideal and likely to arouse suspicion. After proposing the prepaid cards idea he proceeded to call me a fed and deleted the chat. I'm in the USA and he's in the UK (according to telegram location). Kind of a shame since I would have genuinely done a couple hundred through him if it was for whatever reason legit (obviously using smaller amounts like 20-100 instead of one big block.)
