But now the price is stalling a bit and failing to push further up. Watch out for a possible correction developing here.

· 2026-07-23T05:34:27+00:00Cosmos sold you the internet of blockchains. Polkadot promised you a relay race. Most of it rugged itself into irrelevance… Now we’re watching @HyperliquidX own its execution stack. @Lighter_xyz spun up its own L2 for cleaner UX. @LayerZero_Core decided it needs its own chain

Economic Viability (rising bar chart with dollar sign), 4. Composability Trade-off (puzzle pieces), 5. Liquidity Impact (water droplet with warning), and 6. Time & Cost (clock and coins). The illustration visually reinforces the post's argument that projects like Hyperliquid, Lighter, and LayerZero are moving toward owning their own execution stacks, highlighting the critical factors teams must weigh when launching a dedicated appchain rather than relying on general-purpose chains like Cosmos or Polkadot.

· 2026-07-23T00:45:37+00:00Using $LIT as a comparison, assuming a 25% airdrop (Lighter standard), 9.5M points (ending at Q3), if we apply the FDV/OI formula to @variational_io : We can predict $94 per point, which would be almost 5x the OTC current price. Obviously this formula is not perfect and we have

· 2026-07-23T21:29:01+00:00Vlad, the founder of @Lighter_xyz , explains why buybacks are important for Lighter and $LIT holders [Spoken audio]: Right now, that's a core mechanic through which kind of economic value created by LIDAR accrues to LID holders in which I mean, that's very important. What we could do instead is like, you have to pay the fees and you know, LIDAR is zero fees for retail, but for the institutions and market makers, like let's say they have to pay their fees in LID, well, then they're buying the LID on the open market to pay those fees. So you're kind of achieving the same thing. But yeah, I mean, I think it is something that works for business like LIDAR. I think broadly speaking, is it the right thing for every project to do? Like I think in kind of the current environment where we're kind of in between, you know, there's still like clarity hasn't passed yet. Like there's questions of like what tokens are, security is like kind of think about like in this like environment where a lot of that stuff is still up in the air. I think it's a clean mechanic that works for a variety of projects. Like longer term, will every project need to do buybacks? Not sure, right? There might be other ways to get the same economic value accrual to token holders. But I think in the case of lighter, it makes a lot of sense where we're going to keep doing it.
