History DOESN'T repeat itself, but it RHYMES. On December 7, 2023, Jito dropped a millionaire airdrop to those who used its platform. Solana was trading at $63, and the attention and interest sparked in the network led to a rally all the way up to $300. A few days ago, Jito

Submission is not landing proof. That is why Surge does not trust polling alone. For the @SuperteamNG Smart Transaction Stack bounty, I wanted the proof path to be separate from the submission receipt. A Jito bundle ID tells me the block engine accepted a request. [Spoken audio]: AROPE is the polling issues, but a serious transition stack needs extreme suspicions to confirm that. If all we know is that we submitted a bundle, and later query that AROPE said in point, we are missing the most important part of infrastructure story. We need to know whether the transaction appeared in the live stream, what slot it appeared in, and how that slot moves through commitment. That is what the Yellowstone layer does. Sod uses a live cycle coordinator that subscribes to both slot updates and transaction updates. It uses one combined subscription instead of separate streams because some provider tiers limit concurrent streams. The combined transaction watches the submitted signature and also listens to slot updates so one stream can do both jobs. The transaction update answers the first question. Did the Yellowstone say this signature? When the transaction updates arise, SOT records the process slot and the process timestamp. It marks the process state source as the Yellowstone Transaction Stream. It also said the proof flag that says Yellowstone saw the transaction. That is the moment the role becomes stream proven. The slot update answers the next question. Did the slot containing that transaction reach confirmed and finalized? SOT keeps an internal slot clock. As Yellowstone sends slots updates, the slot clock tracks the highest processed confirmed and finalized slots. Once the transaction has been seen at processed, such watches for the slot clock to cross the processed slot. When the confirmed slot reaches or passes this processed slot, such records confirmed at and confirmed slot. When the finalized slot reaches or passes it, such records finalized at and finalized slot. That gives the life cycle role a real commitment progression. In the final artifact, level roles have this stream backed life cycle progression. Those roles have submitted slots, process slots, confirmed slots, finalized slots, stage sources, signatures, bundles ID and explorer name. That is the evidence part another person can expect. The important detail is that such does not feel amazing stages because they were expected. If Yellowstone does not see the transition before the time out, The role is marked degraded or failed depending on the rest of the evidence. If the stream is unavailable, the role records that condition. If the bundle status stays invalid, the role records digital status provenance, missing evidence stays meaning. That is a better operational model that pretending that every submission should initially become a successful flow. The stream implementation also handles reconnection. When such subscribes, it can include a replay anchor. The replay anchor starts a few slots before the submitted slot when that slot is named. That matters because a stream disconnect can otherwise cause the system to resume life and miss the exact transaction or slot update in it. With the replay anchor, the connector can read a small window around solution. Such also records the reconnect attempt. Last disconnect reason, replay buffer slots, terminal stream outcome, duplicate transaction update, slot update scene, transaction update scene, and unhandled update scene. Those fields are not just implementation details. They are part of the NSX fact. Eight stream add problems, the role should show it. Another detail I care about is failed transaction visibility. The Yellowstone transaction filter does not hide failed update. Sword keeps failed updates visible because failure handling is part of the product, not another thought. If a transaction fail, that is not noise, that is evidence, Sword also watches for dead target leader slots. if a slot update says the target's digital leader slot is dead, the stream trace can record that. In the current Firehouse Act slot, there are zero skid or death digital leader rules, so I did not claim that this run observable, but the mechanism is there and the product behavior is clear. The bundle is designed for that leader slot, so if the leader skids or the slot is not produced, the bundle does not land in that slot and the stack has to classify the outcome and retry or wait for a later leader window. That decision is important. I can explain the skip leader behavior from the Solana and Ditto mechanism but should not say that this final run of Zava skipped the Ditto leader when the expert says it is not. For the landed rows, the story is stronger. The final audits reports include explore a verifiable slot. For example, a row-consure is submitted slot, then a process slot, and then the same slot or later slot crossing confirms or finalize. The row also recall state sources like jito send bundle, jello stones transactions theme, and jello stones loss theme. That gives a reviewer a path to verify the theme. You can start with the trace id, you can look at the bundle id, you can open the transaction signature, you can open the slot name, you can inspect the sources, and you can see whether the landing was streamed back. This is why I do not treat a jito bundle id as enough. The bundle id is important. It proves the block ng accepted the request, but the bundle can be accepted and still fail to land. it can expire, it can become invalid, the entire window can pass, transaction can fail as efficient. So the landing proof has to be separate from the submission received. Yellowstone is that separate proof part. The final evidence summary reflects that separation which reports 15 live video submissions that have said but only 11 stream proven landings like exactly I want the actor to be. The same principle applies to commitment. Process means the transaction was observed in a protected block confirming the clusters voted enough on that block, finalize means the the block is routed those are different stages such recalls the timestamps and slots separately and recomputes latency deltas when each stage is observed in the final round the process to confirm samples shows zero milliseconds at the artifact recorded resolution i do not realize that as the user further claims that confirmation is always instant i realize that the property of this specific sample for the landed rows in this run recorders saw no major between process and confirm at its time stamp resolution. That is the kind of conclusion the artifact can support. The broader operational license is that process to confirm latency is a network health signal. When that data grows, it can indicate slower vote propagation, leader of fork instability, provider lag or heavier network conditions. When the data is small and consistent, it suggests the submitted transaction slot moves quickly through confirmation. Again, that conclusion should come from the actual rules, not from the theory. In such, Yellowstone is layered and melt those observations possible. It turns the transaction stack from I sent something into I can show you when the network saw it, where it landed and how the commitment changed. In next video, I walk you through the summation slide, how such build Jito bundles, select tips from LiveData, target Jito Linda Windows and record the difference between accepted and landed. Thank you.
