There's not plenty of projects doing rappers of like passports and government ideas and we have world coin and... Yeah, circles is two elements. It's really the issuing of new money, of circles. But deeply related to that is trust network. And that means you have an identity in circles, your account. But that has context. That is trusted by people and that is part of groups. groups. And of course, that identity can be used in many ways in other applications outside of money, because we see this problem all over the place with spam, with fake comments, with fake reviews. And there's always the trade off. On the one hand, it should be simple to join a system. So you shouldn't kind of just to make a comment under video upload your passport and get verified and so on. So that's that's one extreme. On the other hand, if that is not happening, then usually systems get overtaken by bots and by fake accounts and circles could hear play a big role of having a lightweight identity system that doesn't require you to submit your biometrics it doesn't require you to submit a passport or anything but still is fundamentally a very robust system and brings in this trust literally the trust like those two are both becoming quite successful world coin is over 10 million users but you know there are definitely yeah elements of centralization in at least the consequences of I think designs that have like singular identities and yeah so Worldcon for example is one identity system where there's exactly one way to get an identity that is kind of to be scanned by an orb they have this this machine this thing that scans your iris and they assign an identity from that and yeah that carries many risks Basically you have just one mechanism and if this mechanism breaks or for whatever reason you are not able to join. To me it seems like mechanisms that just rely on one way are not good foundational principles. For me, circles can be a powerful way of just experimenting with and even using the money aspects to help battle test a form of identity worthy yet issuance mechanism is more decentralized and more like social graph driven and, you know. Yeah. So here there have been attempts of identity based on a social graph in the past going all the way back to PGP of giving attestations of, yeah, I mean, essentially a way to say this is a person and this is the, the key in a way that digital identity and kind of how can this link be established. And there were trust based approaches before the issue was often what would it even mean to trust someone doesn't have consequences and then people would probably to loosely give out trust and then sooner or later the system again had the problem of being overrun by fake accounts. In circles giving out trust has a very immediate consequence it essentially means you are accepting the money circles that this other person is issuing and you're accepting that in exchange for your own and frankly if you are here not careful you just trust random accounts that you see online. Then sooner or later you will end up with circles that are not spendable and not useful in your network. And therefore kind of the circles trust graph is quite robust. Or at least if it's not robust then people will immediately feel that and adopt their behavior.
