And yet now everyone in the entire industry is desperate to be the bank of coin. It's pathetic. Today's guest is Hugo Fillion, co-founder and CEO of Flare, who pioneered a data-native layer one blockchain and now is helping make XRP productive on chain through DeFi, interoperability, and programmable finance. Coming from finance, I was fairly aware of how inequitable Binance is to the ordinary person. So I was kind of keen to get into this space. Ethereum had just launched. We didn't want to jump into it. But eventually, we kind of settled on what we wanted to build, and that's Flare. What's the kind of USP here in regards to Flare? It's the only Layer 1 blockchain that has both smart contracts and data baked in. Let's just break down the data search prices. What has happened on other blockchains? And then, Web 2 data. That data capability with smart contracts makes Flare exceptionally unique. Other people have built bridges. We've just launched version 1.3 of our XRP bridge. We can allow a user to use a native functionality from the XRP ledger through an exchange to withdraw their XRP from that exchange directly to Flare. How do you see digital assets moving forward broadly on the bullish XRP? The more the market expands, the better it is for Flare. I think Flare is hugely interesting for our WAs because of our data capabilities. Is there anything you're watching for the space as a whole? One thing that sticks in my mind, which I think is a little scary is.
