closest benchmark for this options protocol which hasn’t even launched is Derive @ 100m mcap - not Hyperliquid at $15b or Robinhood at $100b hope that helps

A dark-themed infographic titled "$SYN Hypercall Flywheel" outlines a token-governed options protocol thesis, highlighting an $81M FDV starting point, ~280K broad holder estimate, 88% circulating supply, and zero private VC unlocking, alongside a five-step reflexive loop diagram. The accompanying post uses these metrics to argue that $SYN's pre-launch comparable is closer to Derive's $100M valuation than to Hyperliquid's $15B or Robinhood's $100B.

There are some very valid criticisms of @DeriveXYZ $DRV token liquidity is terrible (though this arguably contributes to the bull case) People want more token listings (much harder to build out liquid options markets than perps

This DefiLlama chart compares FDV/Fee multiples (30d annualized) between Hyperliquid (blue) and Derive (red) from February through June. It shows Derive's multiple has remained relatively flat around 30-50x while Hyperliquid's has surged to 60-90x, suggesting Derive appears undervalued relative to Hyperliquid's revenue multiple—relevant to the post's point about $DRV's poor token liquidity potentially creating a bull case as the market may not be pricing in Derive's fundamentals fairly compared to its competitor.

Zoomer Oracle @ZoomerOracle · 2026-06-28T03:47:28+00:00

I agree with this take. Derive is one of the few options protocols with a PMF which even outpaces Deribit (biggest options CEX) With a fresh new chart since april (ex lyra), it only takes 1 or 2 headlines to create fomo once people catch up on it. Too bad $DRV liquidity is bad
