· 2026-06-22T19:50:21.678000+00:00Swapped $15k USDC to USDT and lost $360 I swapped $15k of USDC to USDT last week and got $14,640 back. Both are supposed to be $1 each, so how did I lose $360 on a simple stablecoin swap? I get that there's always some spread or fee, but 2.4% feels insane for two tokens that are both pegged to the dollar. I checked the route after and it went through a few hops on a, DEX aggregator, but still, that's a lot of money to lose just converting between stablecoins. I've been looking into alternatives since then. Tried Curve for a smaller test swap and the slippage was way lower, maybe 0.1%. Also looked at Coinbase's zero-fee convert promo for USDT to USDC, but that only goes one way. And I've heard about for USDT-native settlement, though I haven't used it yet.
