CRT This is the candle most ICT traders won't explain properly- But CRT makes it simple.! Study it. Apply it. Master it! [Spoken audio]: In today's video, we are doing a full deep dive into one of the highest win rate and the highest risk reward futures trading strategies you'll ever use. Now, this is a strategy that I've back tested for years. I've also used for years and it's helped me crush prop firms and just trade futures much better overall. And by the end of this video, you guys will have a full understanding of exactly how it works and you should be able to also implement this strategy into your own trading. So with all of that being said, let's get directly into this video and understand exactly what candle range theory is and how it works. So for those of you that don't know, candle range theory is my site strategy that I use alongside break a structure for valor gap. Okay, and these are two strategies that I've tested for years. I've done full deep dives into them. I've really perfected it to the core and we have spent a lot of time talking about break a structure for valor gap, but I don't have as many videos covering CRT and it's also as powerful, if not even more powerful than the break a structure for valor gap. So essentially, all candle range theory is we have to understand the market mechanisms to understand why this works and how it works. So in the market, we are going to constantly have liquidity trading to liquidity. So what that means is if the market takes out one level of liquidity, we want to reverse the next level of liquidity. And what is this liquidity that we're talking about? This is where the market has orders sitting there. So price wants to go fulfill those orders after taking out one piece of it. And then it can move from liquidity to liquidity. So let's break down CRT itself and understand why that concept comes into play. So all you're going to do is you are going to go on either the one hour timeframe or the 15 minute. Now some people were confused they said how do I know which time frame to use in sessions such as New York or anything with a lot of volatility you will see me use the one hour and if you are trading a slower session whether that be asian or new york you're going to use the 15 minute because the one hour is just too wide of a range for those sessions to get a move so ladies and gentlemen for crt you will go on the one hour or 15 minute time frame and this example will just use the one hour so it's easier now you are going to take the most recent one hour candle and you are just simply doing nothing but marking the highest point of that candle and the lowest point. It doesn't have to be the body or anything, it's including the wicks and everything from the top to bottom. The next thing you want to see, and this is where it becomes very important, price must come and break one of these levels, whether that be the low or the high. So in this case, we come and take out the high, but this is super important. In order for it to be a valid CRT setup, price needs to immediately reverse after breaking. So in this case, we get a break, but the actual body of the candle, this colored part, closes underneath the high, all right? In this situation, we get a break of the low, notice how we reverse back up and the candle body, the colored part of the candle, closes above this low, all right? So that is going to be step number two for CRT. If this candle even closes above slightly or anything like that, not a valid CRT, forget it, doesn't matter, okay? It must be underneath this high, okay? Now, when this happens, this means that we we just took out liquidity at the highs. So where is price going to be attracted to? Remember, one level of liquidity to the other. So in this case, what essentially just happened is we took out liquidity at the highs, we will look to make a U-shaped reversal and come fill these orders that are sitting down here, okay? So essentially this next candle or the next few candles, I expect to make a move towards this low right here, all right, exactly to this low. So essentially same exact thing on the other end after taking out buy orders right here, we expect a U-shaped reversal right up to this candle's high right here. fairly simple concept, it's not anything crazy, and you guys will see in a second when we take a look at the live market examples. How do we take the entry on this setup? So you figured out your higher timeframe bias, all right? Now you will drop down to a lower timeframe and you are just simply going to look for price to break the middle candle, all right, on the lower timeframe and that's where you will take the entry. So the high of this middle candle or the low of this middle candle, and when price breaks that, that is where you take your entry, all right? From there, you know where your target's going to be so you will drag your target to this candle's high and your stop loss is going to be 1.5 to two R. You can play around and see which one you like. I personally do a mix of both depending on if the wrist reward is too tight or not, but I find that 1.5 is better for some cases and two is better for other cases, all right? So again, find your higher timeframe bias, one more review. By marking out your candle high and your candle low on the higher timeframe. Next candle right after must come and break one of those levels and immediately reverse back up or back down depending on which direction you're trading. Then the third candle or the next few candles after that will make a move to the opposite end that just got taken out. So if we took out the high, it will make a move to the low. If we took out the low, it will make a move to the high. And finally, piece all that together by dropping down to a lower timeframe, whether that be the one or two minute and taking your entry when price breaks the middle candle and that is when you'll take your entry. So hopefully that's making a little bit of sense. If it is not, we are about to take a look at some live market examples of how this is being executed in real time, so you guys can also understand this. But before we do get into that, I will explain real quick what the best times to trade the strategy are. Beauty of candle range theory is that there is no set time. You can literally trade it anytime, any session, and it works. It doesn't have anything that needs volatility or anything like that. Yes, some sessions are slower and some are faster, which is why I said one hour versus 15 in some cases. But you can trade anytime. I find that 9.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Eastern time the best and seven to 10 p.m. Eastern time in the Asian session is also perfect. These trades are that you're about to see are going to be a mix of both and you will understand exactly why I chose to take a trade in one different session and the other one and how we went about. So let's head over to the live examples and see exactly how this works in real time. So here we are on our first trade ladies and gentlemen and if we do take a look at this trade first off this is on MGC and let's understand step by step start to finish what's going on with this trade. So if If we open up, you can see at 5.25 p.m. on March 22nd, I am watching a 15 minute CRT forming on MGC. Why am I watching this, all right? I'm waiting for this candle to close because we took out, this candle has a high and a low and price took out the low and immediately reversed. That is step number one. Mark out candle, high candle low, wait for price to break in reverse and close this candle's body above the low. All right, so that's the exact setup that we are watching in that moment. If we come back to what we're looking at over here, exact same chart is being displayed. So the candle ends up closing above the low. So that is now a valid CRT, okay? So I marked out three levels, low, high, and now I will also mark out the middle candle's high, okay? Now let's head back over to that trade one more time and understand step-by-step why we took it, where we take it. So there was another one on MNQ which we'll come back to in a second, but let's really quickly take a look at this MGC one. So price ended up closing. So now in my eyes, we have a valid CRT in place. Correct? What I'm going to do now is I'm waiting for price to break on the lower timeframe, this middle candle's high, and that is where I'll take my entry. So when that happens, ladies and gentlemen, do you see my entry? Right as price breaks that middle candle's high. We enter at an average of 4, 3, 7, 5.8, okay? Now let's head back to the live charts and understand exactly what's gonna look like when we take this trade, okay? I'll drop down to a two minute. And what I will do is I will wait for price to come and give me a strong break of that middle candle time. I took my entry right above this high because it was already moving strong, so I saw a good confirmation and I was like, let me take that trade. So essentially the trade will look like this, okay? We have our target at this high now, all right? We have our stop loss at two R. So my trade looks basically like this, all right? I haven't mapped out and I have a stop loss sitting at 4342 at 4437.5, all right? So now, this is what our CRT is. One more time, let's just go back and understand exactly what was happening here. We enter that long, okay? We get a decent little move, all right? You can see my stop losses, you can see where my sell limit is, wonderful. I'm letting that trade ride, I'm raising my stop loss up with it, okay? And we're just constantly managing this position. You guys can see, off that 15 minute CRT, I'm putting it play by play so you guys can see kind of, Okay, how is it for me? And then boom, you go piece by piece, what happens? Price takes out the full take profit, we catch $3,000 profit, all right? Let's head back one more time to trading view. I'm taking this trade, you know where price wants to make the move, okay? And where does it make its move? Almost perfectly to that CRT right there, okay? So that is an amazing example. This was taken in the Asian session, right? It got a good follow through, everything respected on it beautifully. So what was wrong with this trade? There was absolutely nothing wrong. It was as clean of a setup as you can possibly get, correct? So A plus trade right there, I mean, you really can't ask for more on, you know, it really does not get more perfect than that. And that was it. Why did I use 15 minute timeframe, right? Because agent session is slower. I like to use the 15 minutes CRT because it's a little bit cleaner, all right? But do you guys see how textbook the setup is? High and low on the higher timeframe. Break of the middle candle is where the entry comes in, okay? this is where you might get a little confused. Do you wanna wait for a safer entry and wait for the confirmation? Or do you wanna just enter on the direct breakout and risk getting faked out? I'm personally okay with doing a mix of either. It just depends on how the price action is. Sometimes you might take an entry directly on the breakout. Sometimes you might take it after we get strong confirmation. In this case, it was moving clean enough where I saw this pullback, it respected, took out this high, I was like, boom, we're good to go. Don't even wait for anything. So that right there, ladies and gentlemen, is one example. Now I want to head over to another example and understand what's happening in that situation, all right? This was a trade that I took today and a perfect setup in the New York session, right? After the market opened. So let's head over to the Discord one more time to kind of take a look at that live alert of why we took it, where we took it and all that different stuff. So essentially this morning I wake up and I'm watching a setup on MNQ short. Why am I watching MNQ short ladies and gentlemen? Because CRT is forming. Take a look at our hourly candle and take a look at our lower time frame candle, all right? I see the weakness coming in. I see our CRT is forming beautifully. When price can break that middle candle's low, wonderful, I'm in and I'm targeting a two R trade. You see how perfectly that's aligning right there. Let's really quickly head over and take a look at the charts one more time. I went ahead and marked out my previous candle's high and my previous candle's low, wonderful. First step of the situation is down, okay? Next thing I need to see in order for CRT to be valid, price must come and break this candle's low on the lower time frame, and that is where I'll take my entry, all right? So now you can drop down to a one or two minute, whatever you'd like, and let's really take a look and see if price does end up doing that. So let's take a look, price is coming, so far nothing. Let's take it piece by piece, okay. So here we are, price now gets a break of this low, all right? Closes with good strength, what do we do? you take your entry, okay? Now what I'm going to do, let's figure out what our entry, stop loss and take profit will look like. I have my entry, I know where my take profit's gonna be. It's gonna be at the low of this CRT candle. That's where the liquidity is resting. Now, I see I have a 2.89 risk to reward. I will give myself more room and make this a two R. So essentially my trade looks like this. Take profit will be sitting at these lows and my stop loss will be sitting at these highs right here. Okay, that is a two-hour trade that I'm looking for almost every single set up. All right. Now, real quick, let's play this out and see what happens. Okay. So this exact setup, like I said, we played this today, prices continuing, doing nothing, doing nothing, doing nothing. And Broom, what do you get? You get an amazing, amazing setup, great fall through to the downside. You really can't ask for more than that. Okay. What was it in real time? Let's understand my exact scaling process. We took our entry. I'm raising my stop loss as we're getting the rejection. Okay. Stop loss keeps getting raised keeps getting raised We get to break even and then essentially Wonderful move down to that low. Okay, and this is not something insane that I would say is like anything crazy Right after that, I hop on the Asian session. We take an MNQ long. What happens? Ladies and gentlemen, let's take a look at this Beautiful entry off this one hour CRT. Let's continue beautiful push and it gets wonderful follow-through right there too. So this isn't like rocket science I want you guys to understand the reason why I'm showing you guys the alerts is because it's one thing for me to say like you should have taken this setup you should have done this you should have done that I'm taking it in real time it's not rocket science in any sense it's not complicated you can genuinely sit there and catch almost every single one of these setups like every single day there's a clean one almost every day that we've been trading okay each one is getting follow-through you guys can go back and take a look at this if you're part of the discord you can see every single one clean fall through every single time now rocket science by any means it's clean you really can't ask for more on it and when you do take a loss it's a super tight loss it's not really anything complicated all right so I'm gonna give you guys a little bit of homework I want to say for this YouTube video it's one thing for me to show you guys and say guys this setup's awesome I want you the charts are free after watching this video head to the charts, backtests yourself on the live markets or on replay trading, whatever you want to do. And just see what your own eyes how powerful it is. Because again, I can tell you one thing, but you're not going to be able to see the power of it unless you catch it with your own eyes. So that is your one job. I gave you guys all the components that are needed for this strategy. You take it, you learn, and we see exactly how things go in real time. And you guys can tell me was it as powerful as I said it was, which I'm sure you're going to say it is and really just using a conjunction with my other strategy, the break of structure for rallygap and you will genuinely just be unstoppable. So with that being said, ladies and gentlemen, that is all for this video. We did a full deep dive, everybody should understand exactly what it is now. If you don't, I have slower pace videos if you want to go back and watch one prior to this, but in general, very easy concept, not anything insane that goes into it. And it should be pretty easy for anybody to use. So hopefully you guys enjoyed this video, hopefully you guys enjoyed this explanation of the concept. And if you guys have any questions, feel free to drop them down in the comment section below or ask in the free discord, I will answer it as soon as I possibly can. I'm active in there 24-7. And also, ladies and gentlemen, let me know if there's any video ideas you guys wanna see. I will try to get those out to you guys as soon as possible as well. And that's pretty much it for this video. You guys take care. I will see you guys back in the next one.
