This is both an announcement and a love letter to the entire @base team. It's hard to believe how much we packed into the last year and more. I [Spoken audio]: Hi everyone, it's been a long time since I spoke to the camera like this but this piece of news has been a long time coming so I thought I'd share it properly. And this one's a big one. The last Friday was my last day at Coinbase and I'm moving on from almost a year of working and building with the base team and honestly much longer than that with base India going back to the brainstorm days. It's been such an incredible run and working with the base team has honestly changed my life. to work with some of the most talented people I've been around and build alongside people that I'm lucky to call my friends now. And now it just feels like the right time to what's next. And if I'm being honest, a couple of months ago, I realized that I really missed building from the ground up where there is no playbook and you're essentially the one inventing it. Basically the founder mentality. So when that feeling started pulling at me, I had to listen. So here's what's next. If you've been in the space long enough you know that prediction markets are having a moment. The smart money that used to call this a gimmick is the same money that's now writing the checks. The odds are showing up in Google, in the news, in your timeline and it's honestly changing the way people are consuming real time events and you've probably seen it without even realizing that you're looking at it and I'm a real fan for products that people use without having been convinced to use it. The demand is already there and that to me is the rarest thing in this industry and sports is the volume engine of prediction markets. You have loyal fan bases that need for fast resolution and repeat customer behavior. And that's the bet that I'm making. I think the next big thing in prediction markets is going to be a verticalised play. So here's the big news, okay? I'm joining Fred, the fastest sports prediction exchange, building on base but not too far from home as the marketing and growth lead. I truly, truly, truly believe in the product and the the team that's building it and the reasons why they're building it. Number one, the user comes first, always. Number two, they're doing it with integrity in a space where most people don't. Number three, they're building a product that's world-class to use and not just functional. When you put those three together, that's rare. And that's exactly what I want to be doubling down on right now.
