So far, the result has been 4 valid bugs worth around $13,000 in total bounties. What I learned from this experience is that you don't necessarily need to hunt on dozens of different programs or constantly switch between vulnerability types. I still have a lot to learn and I'm only a few months into bug bounty, but I'm very happy with the progress so far. Just wanted to share this as some motivation for other people who are starting out.
