SOMETHING STRANGE IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW The S&P 500 keeps hitting new highs. But almost no one notices that 1929 is repeating right now. The parallels are everywhere. Back then: The market wouldn't stop going up. Everyone was in stocks. It was the industrial

While U.S. stocks finished flat after 13 years for 2000-2012, here's what some other indexes returned: Emerging Markets: 201% U.S. bonds: 111% Gold: 474% Examples like this are why I often say it may be wise to diversify broadly.

Ok, I know this sub is anti FA But - if you had 25mm investable and near retirement looking for an FA to handle everything going forward (ex cpa and trusts attorney) what should you expect to pay AUM? This would be account/investment management, rmd, and ?? Idk what else. Tax loss harvesting, rebalancing - everyone does this. They coordinate with cpa and trust people - what even does this mean/look like? Any actual value here? I’m trying to compare apples to apples. How many basis points are ballpark? I do want “good”. I’m not looking for cheap but don’t want to pay more than I should.

tax hold I just wonder why no fidelity help hold tax on things like dividend, let say you get $100 on dividend from X stock/etf. You set hold 15% for tax, and it will report it on 1099. Not sure if this a good idea, but just want to ask

Sierra chart vs atas /x for ES futures is Sierra actually better, or just more customizable? Hey everyone, I’m currently studying futures trading, mainly ES/MES, with a focus on Auction Market Theory and Market Profile. My approach is discretionary, based on understanding market context and auction behavior rather than mechanical indicators or trading signals. I’m working with TPO and Volume Profile, and I plan to gradually incorporate Footprint, Order Flow and DOM into my execution process. I’ve been trying both Sierra Chart and ATAS, but I’m having a hard time deciding which platform to commit to long-term. ATAS feels more intuitive and user friendly, while Sierra seems more powerful and customizable, although considerably more complicated to set up. A few questions for those who have experience with both: Is Sierra genuinely more capable for advanced market profiling, composite profiles, longer-term analysis and handling futures rollovers? Are there meaningful differences in data accuracy, functionality, performance or execution tools? Is there anything important you can do in Sierra that ATAS simply cannot replicate, even with a proper setup? For someone willing to spend time learning and configuring either platform, which would you choose and why? I also have the opportunity to purchase an ATAS Pro Lifetime license for €1,000 (with the transfer approved by ATAS), which makes the decision even more interesting. I’m not trading live yet, so my priority is choosing the right tools for the long term, not finding the easiest platform to get started with. I’d especially appreciate feedback from traders who have actually used both platforms for ES/NQ futures. Thanks!
