>Europe building a reusable rocket

The image is a slide titled "Products Possible Solutions" showing the Maia configuration and Maia with Kickbackstages, likely a European aerospace design reference (reusable rocket concept). It displays technical specs and configurations for what appears to be the Maia rocket, supporting Europe's push toward reusable launch vehicle technology.

Each coordinate of a closed butterfly outline has its own real Fourier series: x(t) = Σₖ (aₖ cos kt + bₖ sin kt), and similarly for y. A sine–cosine pair at frequency k corresponds to an arm of length √(aₖ² + bₖ²), turning k times per lap. One chain sets x, another sets

When life gets turned upside down, change the rules. Sprouting directly from the ancient brick ceiling of a ruined Roman thermal bath, Bacoli's legendary inverted fig tree ignores gravity, thrives without soil, and bears fruit toward the earth rather than the sky.

Communication between the spheres is a rarely discussed aspect of Type III civilizations. @projectspherexy utilizes the cells themselves as antennas. Once two systems have established their shells, they can exchange material maps and stellar storm warnings via focused laser

@T_Elvis99 · 2026-10-10T05:11:07+00:00

The materials do not come from the home planet. @projectspherexy prioritizes metal-rich asteroids and icy moons at the system's edge. The initial cells are printed by a small workshop co-orbiting the mining site; once a few thousand cells have accumulated, they assemble

ELI5: What FLIP are clouds??? So years ago I learned that clouds are NOT gasses, which was a reasonable assumption and I just kinda accepted that. Then while trying to sleep a few moments ago, I said wait a minute….if it’s water then why doesn’t it fall? “Yes it does fall genius. What do you think rain is” what about the clouds on a hot sunny day with no rain? Is the water evaporating before it reaches us? Are clouds steam? I feel like I’m missing something

@reddit · 2026-10-10T06:03:12.757000+00:00

ELI5: how interferometers and laser range finders resolve ambiguity? If the distance changes by half wavelength (adding 1 wavelength to the path) - from what I understand the measurement should look identical. This 1/2 wavelength, some 200nm, feels too fast for measure time of flight methods (10^-15 second - fasterthan any digital clock)... so I'm puzzled.
