TIL that the first American to win a Nobel Prize was President Teddy Roosevelt for negotiating an end to the Russo-Japanese War

Based on my Cornell follow the money findings, and with a daughter applying to colleges right now, I wanted to look across more universities to understand how far this goes. So I built Behind the Ivory Walls, a model that ranks America’s 31 richest universities on who controls

The image, titled "The ten highest Risk Scores" from a ranking by The Leah Files, displays a list of America's top universities ranked by risk scores from 45.8 to 77.3 on a 0-100 scale, with USC (77.3), Cornell (75.8), and Columbia (73.3) leading due to over $1 billion paid in abuse-related cases involving Dr. Tyndall, Dr. Pazluck, and Dr. Hadden respectively, followed by Penn, U. of Chicago, WashU, Rochester, Stanford, Case Western, and Tufts. This relates to the post about "Behind the Ivory Walls," a model ranking America's 31 richest universities on accountability, as the top three highest-risk schools (USC, Cornell, and Columbia) are precisely the institutions that have paid out over $1 billion for abuse they were warned about—directly supporting the model's premise that risk correlates with failures to act on known misconduct.

Now with Douglas Ruas as governor, all schools in Rio de Janeiro will be like Porto da Pedra Good on the ground, lame in visuals. Did you love it?

A few things: 1. Latent academic achievement test results and latent IQ test results correlate at about r = 1 2. Latent g correlates with achievement tests at r = 0.74 on average 3. Even if we use GPAs, the correlation reaches a pretty high r = 0.55.

The image is a scatter plot titled "Among Classmates, Students With Higher g Got Better Grades," showing latent g (IQ scale) on the x-axis (ranging from 50 to 150) versus latent GPA relative to classmates on the y-axis (ranging from 1 to 4.5), based on Project TALENT data, with a noted latent r = 0.55 correlation. This visualization supports the post's point that even when using GPAs, the correlation between latent g and academic achievement reaches a relatively high r = 0.55.

One of the best explanations I've seen about the earthquake in Panama. This young man educates more than many so-called influencers who just talk for the sake of talking! We need more valuable content and less bla, bla, bla. #Panamá #Terremoto #sismo #temblor

Most people don’t fail because the goal was too hard. They fail because they kept negotiating with the version of themselves that wants comfort more than growth. Stop the negotiations. Set the standard once. Then become the person who no longer argues with it.

GPA award winners for spring. Even though we are missing many and our seniors who are now at college, we are very proud of this program of girls and what they accomplished together last season! Go Gales!

How to handle having multiple internship offers without telling the others? So essentially, let’s just assume that I were to receive multiple internship offers and then I didn’t tell the others and then in four months it’s gonna come where I have to decide and make a choice. Could I just pull out and say hey I’ve accepted an internship with another company I’ve decided I’m gonna go with that when it’s like two months out from the start date?Or once I accept an internship, I’m locked into an internship?

Don't just read information from staging cards. Turn it into knowledge by reformulating and reflecting on it, using main thought cards to solidify understanding. #Learning #Knowledge
