Gnosis Pay card ends Dec 20: every deadline, what happens to your Safe, and a checklist before it shuts I went through Gnosis Pay's formal notice and help articles and put the practical bits in one place, since the info is spread across five pages. **The dates** - **Sep 30**: last transactions eligible for GNO cashback (already passed) - **Oct 7**: final cashback distribution (already passed) - **Oct 30**: last day to ask support to verify a cashback payout. If yours looks wrong, raise it now. - **Dec 20, 23:59 UTC**: the card stops and the web app closes for everything except withdrawals. Recurring payments on the card will fail. - **Jun 18, 2027**: general cardholder support ends - **Jun 12, 2028**: support for refunds, disputes and chargebacks ends **Your funds** Your Safe is self-custodial. Gnosis Pay says plainly it can't freeze, seize or move it, and there's no withdrawal deadline. Your GNO and OG NFT stay in the Safe. Your EUR IBAN (from Monerium) keeps receiving transfers into your wallet after the card stops. **Two routes** 1. **Move to a partner app** (Zeal, Rebind, Picnic, MiniPay, the Gnosis App and others). It's the only way to keep an active account without re-onboarding. Some apps can import your existing card and Safe; later you'll accept new terms and get a partner card with its own fees and rewards. 2. **Do nothing and pick a different card.** Gnosis Pay calls this a legitimate choice. You can still join a partner later as a new customer. **Checklist before Dec 20** - [ ] Confirm you can open the wallet that owns your Safe, and that its recovery phrase is stored safely. This is the one thing nobody can fix for you later. - [ ] Consider adding a second owner to the Safe (web app: Account โ†’ Account details โ†’ Edit โ†’ Add address). Takes ~3 min to confirm; any owner has full control, so only add a wallet you control. - [ ] Check what pays into your IBAN (salary, standing orders) and redirect it. - [ ] Export your history: "Download Card Transactions" on the web app's main page. - [ ] Raise any open refund or dispute now, while the app is live. - [ ] Set up the replacement card and move subscriptions, Apple Pay and Google Pay. **If you're picking a non-partner replacement**, the closest like-for-like is probably Bleap (self-custodial, 0% FX, 1% back in USDC, MiCA-licensed in Latvia, EEA + Switzerland). ETH holders may prefer ether.fi Cash (3% up to a monthly cap, but 1% FX outside USD/EUR and not available in NL, FI or EE). If the IBAN was the main thing for you, Krak is worth a look, though it's custodial. I wrote this up with sources for each date here, including a "which card for what you used Gnosis Pay for" section: https://cryptofineprint.com/gnosis-pay-alternatives/?utm_source=reddit&utm_campaign=gnosischain Disclosure: that's my site. Some of the cards it reviews have referral links, which are labelled and don't affect the rankings. Happy to correct anything I've got wrong.
