Micron isn’t the only culprit, but they are a large part of why we are where we are. By exiting the consumer market and ending the crucial brand we lost a solid choice of RAM and they allocated all their stock and continue to keep allocating their memory to the AI overlords. Samsung and SK Hynix are no better. They didn’t exit the consumer market like Micron did, but they effectively booked most of their DRAM business to AI. Leaving us the dregs and causing high prices.
