I've had a chunk of change in the S&P500 for years via Schwab's SWPPX fund, which has performed quite well over time. I know that VOO tracks a lot of the same stocks, but a big difference between the two is trading frequency. If I have no plans to day trade (I.e. take advantage of the minute-by-minute price variation of an ETF), I'm really confused on what the advantage of a whole market ETF like VOO is over SWPPX. Are ETFs just "trendy" or is there something I'm missing? Currently have most of my brokerage portfolio in SWPPX, but have a couple hundred in VOOV (I'm a little worried about an AI bubble burst) as well just to try it out.
