I'm 22 and currently in my first year of a Philosophy BA at university in the UK. I do have an interest in Philosophy, but I naively applied because this was the only degree I had the subject specific grades to be able to get into in a Russell Group University. However, I'm really struggling because the course is not what I had anticipated. I'm seriously considering dropping out to pursue horticulture instead which has been another lifelong interest of mine and I wanted to get some advice from people who actually work in the industry. For some context I've always struggled somewhat in academic environments. I dropped a couple of GCSE subjects (the sciences, which I now regret dropping) and ended up leaving sixth form for two years before eventually finishing my qualifications at 20. I'm only a couple of weeks into university.
