I was looking at TIPS at nearly 25 year highs, and thought ok, when something is a generational event, it deserves a hard look, so I put

AI visual note: A FRED chart displays the Market Yield on U.S. Treasury Securities at 10-Year Constant Maturity (inflation-indexed, TIPS) from 2004 to 2026, showing yields rising to nearly 3% in recent years—approaching generational highs—after bottoming out below -1% around 2020. This visual supports the post's discussion about TIPS reaching nearly 25-year highs and warrants consideration by fiduciaries and market professionals evaluating the current interest rate environment.

· 2026-10-04T14:11:04.654000+00:00I built a Windows trading journal that imports your broker's CSV and flags repeat mistakes. Feedback welcome. Most traders know their P&L. Fewer know their actual win rate, average win vs. average loss, or which mistakes keep repeating. Trader's Journal shows that. You import a CSV export from your broker, and it calculates your win rate, average win, and average loss. It also flags behavior patterns automatically, like overtrading, revenge trading, and sizing up after a loss. Your trade history and P&L charts are in one dashboard. It reads CSV exports, and I've used it with Robinhood, thinkorswim, DAS Trader Pro, and Lightspeed. Details: - Windows only for now

· 2026-10-04T21:25:14.154000+00:00Inherited coin collection Title pretty much says it. My wife inherited a pretty extensive coin collection from a family member (her uncle) who has passed. He was a massive collector of all things - firearms, coins, ww1 & 2 memorabilia etc. We live in NY, any recommendations on a reputable place within the tri-state area that’s not gonna rip her off when trying to get an appraisal on some of the collection? From doing self research, some seem valuable, others worth some money but not so rare. Just looking for some places to go for quotes. Thanks in advance
· 2026-10-04T21:44:47.956000+00:00Fidelity Rep said you cannot link to Schwab for ACH transfer. Is that accurate? In the past, I have wired larger amounts of money from Fidelity to Schwab, but wanted to set up ACH transfers for smaller amounts. I performed the procedure to transfer from Schwab -> Fidelity easily enough and was told it would take a few days to complete after verification using small transactions to verify. Typical. When I attempted to do the same at Fidelity.com, I entered the information from Schwab that included the routing and account number but was left with the only option to complete the connection as a external non-Fidelity/non-Schwab website that would verify the process.
· 2026-10-04T21:45:56.844000+00:00Is VT too US concentrated if you live there? I understand the premise of this question is a little anti-bogle but to make it clear what I'm talking about: I'm currently mostly in the VT + chill camp, but as someone who lives and works in the US I'm concerned that makes me overweighted in US securities, as VT is 64% US stocks. Should there be some kind of significant disruptive event to the US economy I'm way more likely to lose my job and so there's a lot of correlated risk in holding nothing but VT. My question is...am I overthinking? Is diversifying into VXUS or something worth the loss of returns?
· 2026-10-04T21:42:40.252000+00:00Same NQ breakout rules, three candle sizes: +100% on 15m, -44% on 5m, and all three made money before costs Everybody picks a timeframe by feel and then defends it, and the usual reason for going lower is that you get more setups out of the same day. I had one set of rules in front of me so i ran it on three candle sizes and left everything else alone. 20 candle high breakout on NQ, long only, 1 ATR stop, 2 ATR target, April 2021 to March 2026, 100k account, one contract, full session. Same code all three times, the only thing that changed was the candle. Commission and slippage charged on both sides, $2.50 a contract and half a tick, which turns out to be the whole post.
