AI visual note: The image shows a screenshot of a Twitter exchange between "odonga Otto" (@OttoSam59178310) and "Daudi Kabanda" (@DaudiKabanda), where Otto lists his academic credentials—including degrees in political science, law, legal practice from LDC, a sports law masters from the University of Europe, a masters in political philosophy from Pompeu Fabra Spain, and an honorary PhD—after Kabanda questioned who he was. The post relates to this by noting that Kabanda has been insulted despite his educational qualifications, suggesting a degree doesn't shield one from online ridicule.

· 2026-10-03T17:24:58.422000+00:00"How do I handle interviews when I have the technical knowledge but not the professional hands-on experience?" I’ve been working as a Research Analyst for ~2 years, but the role has been relatively non-technical — mostly PPT/reporting, writing insights, and some Excel. I haven’t had much hands-on experience using SQL, Python, or Power BI in my actual job. I’m now trying to transition into Data Analytics, so I’ve learned SQL, intermediate Python, Power BI, DAX, etc. I’ve also reworked my resume around Data Analyst roles, and thankfully I’m getting a decent number of recruiter callbacks. The problem is the interviews. I’ve had 3 interviews where I was shortlisted for roles requiring around 2 YOE, but I couldn’t clear them because the interviewers quickly identified the gap between my knowledge of the tools and real-world experience using them.
· 2026-10-01T21:29:35.390000+00:00Looking for advice: SEC540 vs SEC545 for VM background Currently working in Vulnerability Management (covering on-prem, cloud, and containers) and trying to pick my next SANS course. Management is pushing AI like everyone else right now, but I want to make sure I’m actually learning something future-proof rather than just chasing hype. Torn between two paths: SEC540 (GCSA): Seems like the natural next step for my background. SEC545 (GAIPS): Definitely checks the AI box, but I'm curious how long-lasting the material actually is.
