I ask myself why is a 5% success rate ‘delusional’ in trading but ‘chasing a dream’ elsewhere You start trading you’re probably going to fail, lose some money and move onto something else, hence the 5% ish success rate that’s held up since time immemorial. The vast majority lose we all know that, but most in general society almost sneer at the prospect of someone learning and trying to trade long term, it’s almost laughable and I get it. But why not the same notion towards someone venturing out to achieve something many others fail at elsewhere. . Opening a restaurant, I admit a higher success rate than day trading yet how many restaurants close with 3 years of opening, and to what expense for the once hopeful owner. Plus the hours and graft you’d have to put in everyday, you’d be shattered, whereas we just click buttons to buy and sell.
