You have to know how to trade different conditions in the US futures market. If you only trade breakouts or continuations you’re just not keeping a strong enough edge to trade for a living. And in my opinion this is a full time deal. Trading requires the utmost attention to your personal behaviors and actions on the charts. You’re not getting away with “part time” mindset. The statistic is true, 99% of people will lose their money and or give all their gains back at some point. It really is a simple thing to understand, if your system leaves you susceptible to emotional pain such as long drawdown period or long loss streaks, you’re really just inevitably going to crack and make stupid decisions. Its human nature. In my 6 years of trading Ive gone through literally all of it. And Ive had multiple points of being on the brink of suicide because it just wasnt working out.
