The fills are worse, spreads are worse (thanks CME, again, for something NO ONE asked for). But to size, we don't really have a choice (personally, not enough capital to use ES yet) This week was the first week I got "assigned". To continue my existing strategy synthetically, I bought futures right at the close of the option. However, I've now run into a different problem. The market price at 4PM close is different (sometimes significantly so) than the settlement price used by CME for calculations. This wouldn't be a problem when the options were settled physically, but now trying to synthesize that (by buying contracts) a price slippage is introduced.

Should we be buying some or trying to buy the dip if there is one on bonds?” I said no I don’t know much lol. My thought process is that higher bond rates are just priced in to how much money the government will print later. So it doesn’t really help your real returns. Basically, if bonds paid out 12%, it would still be a bad long-term return relative to stocks is my gut feeling. Can someone dumb it down for me?

I was digging through recent Form 4 filings this week, expecting to see the usual routine tax-harvesting and scheduled executive sell-offs. Instead, the numbers tell a totally different story. Over the last couple of quarters, insider buying across a few key sectors is heavily outstripping insider selling. We’re talking direct open-market purchases by C-suite executives—using their own cash, not just exercising options. Meanwhile, actual insider selling has almost dried up. Executives sell stock for a million reasons—divorce, buying a house, portfolio diversification. But they generally only buy for one.
