How do you bridge crypto between blockchains once you've been burned by a frozen account Had withdrawals restricted on my main exchange account earlier this year, mid move, and spent two days watching money I couldn't touch. Everything lives in my own wallets since. Fine, until I need the same asset on a different chain. The official bridges want a wallet connection and usually some kind of transaction or approval to sign, and after the freeze I'm irrationally twitchy about sending funds into another contract even for a few minutes. What I've settled on for now: send USDC from my ethereum wallet to the deposit address simpleswap gives me, get USDC on Base back at an address I control. No wallet connection to sign. Nothing of mine left on their side once it lands. Is it a bridge in the strict sense? Probably not. It does the job a bridge did for me.
