Could a ranking where visibility is bought on-chain be more honest than an opaque algorithm? I've been thinking about a problem that doesn't get enough attention in DeFi circles: the rankings we all live by are black boxes. Google, Twitter, every marketplace you've ever used. You never really know why you're at position 47. The algorithm is a black box, and nobody can audit it. So here's a thought experiment I've been building out: What if the ranking was fully transparent? Not "transparent" as in a whitepaper promising fairness. Transparent as in every position was bought with a public, verifiable on-chain transaction. The highest bidder takes the top spot. No algorithm, no registration, no KYC. Just bids, verifiable on TRC-20, BEP-20, Polygon, or Solana. Every payment links to a block explorer.
