Are all X memecoin promoters just useless scammers? I’m the developer behind GOBBL. After receiving a steady stream of paid promotion offers, I started checking what actually happened to the coins these accounts had recently promoted. The first promoter had 1.2 million followers. Their paid post received 115K views, 815 likes, 165 reposts and 66 replies. Impressive crowd, until I checked the coin. Two days after the post, it was still on its bonding curve around a $4.5K market cap, with approximately $37 in volume over the previous 24 hours and no activity during the previous six. Then another promoter promised that his community would invest and hold long term. One of his recent promotional posts received nearly 90K impressions, 241 likes and 239 reposts. The coin had launched around $3.2K and was already approximately $3.78K before his post appeared. The remaining activity that evening totaled $8.23. He later claimed his post took the coin to $3K and said another post would send it to $20K. Then he offered me a test post for $50.
