Raw shreds vs Yellowstone vs SWQoS — where does latency actually matter most? Been spending a lot of time lately looking at the different latency layers in Solana infrastructure, and I’m curious how other builders here approach it. There seem to be two very different problems that often get grouped together as “fast RPC”: Data side: getting transactions/account state as early as possible. Yellowstone is great for structured realtime streams, while direct validator-backed raw shreds can potentially get you closer to the source before everything has gone through the normal processed-data path. Execution side: once your strategy decides to trade, getting the transaction into the right path quickly. That’s where things like SWQoS, TPU routing, priority fees and Jito become relevant.
