Checking the Price… … once per quarter seems to work best for me and my mental health. I do a small weekly auto DCA of $300 no matter what, the price is irrelevant there. But every quarter I do a single bigger buy, usually $2k sometimes more or a lot more depending on how the price looks relative to a fair value estimate based on hash rate and MVRV. Not checking the price everyday or — god forbid — multiple times a day has made holding this asset long term much easier. Back when I got started in late 2018, I was glued to the tape and lost my mind. Thankfully volatility has declined quite a bit since then, but still, it’s worse than almost all of my other investments so not watching the price has really helped me keep that long term perspective. YMMV.
