Unpopular opinion: We’re sacrificing usability for theoretical decentralization, and it’s killing real adoption. I love the tech in this space, but the obsession with "decentralization purity" is getting ridiculous. Right now we have L1s struggling with throughput because everyone insists on running nodes on a toaster, and L2 solutions that fragment liquidity into an unreadable mess of bridges, sequencers, and wrapped tokens. If a basic transaction requires a user to write down 12 words on a piece of paper and manual-verify contract data just so they don't burn their life savings, the architecture has failed. Web2 didn't win because it was ideologically perfect; it won because the abstraction was invisible. Looks like today's the day Just got out of the "you're being let go" call. I had made it to 22x expenses and was only planning to work another 2 or 3 years to get over the 25x line, but not sure I'll have that option now. Will likely just figure out how to cut down on expenses. I've been a digital nomad for the last 7 or 8 years, so I'll likely keep doing that and just take myself to SEA or Bulgaria or something to reduce costs. I've got about 18 months of expenses at my current rate saved in cash (mostly from bitcoin I sold before the recent crash which I never re-invested), plus I'm getting some amount of severance (I think about 4 month's pay, which is about another 0.75 years of expenses).
