VT and VGIT and chill? I just became resident in the US. British immigrant professional 38yo. I moved here from the UAE, where I had a classic 80/20 in VWRA and IGLA in IBKR for the international long-term. I closed all that down when I got married to an American (don’t worry PFIC!!), waited until I got my green card and then opened a Fidelity account. Now trying to decide on the best strategy for a 20y+ compounding horizon. 80/20 VT and VGIT? Love equities and I’m still “young” but not comfortable going 100% equities. What’s the best conservative US play? I also tend to like keeping a small bit aside for “fun” gold ETFs, BTC, specific stocks. But from what I’m reading I shouldn’t do this through my taxable brokerage. But maybe in my Roth IRA? TIA
