Putting my long term crypto somewhere inconvenient was the best thing I did I realized I had a really stupid habit with my BTC. I'd tell myself it was a 5+ year position, but whenever BTC dropped hard I'd open the exchange app, sell like 0.01 or 0.02 because I thought I could buy it back lower, then usually end up buying it back higher 2 days later. Did this enough times that I finally moved everything I consider long term to my hardware wallet and deleted the wallet address from my exchange whitelist. Now getting to it is annoying enough that I actually have to think before touching it. I keep a small amount separate for when I get the urge to trade. Sometimes I'll throw a tiny wager on Moon if I have a short term view, but the BTC in cold storage is basically dead to me now.
