Story time Its, 2021 - a VERY heavily VC backed coin called Solana appears outta no where and quickly moves from under a dollar to 10 dollars for a 1000% gain. r/CryptoCurrency saw this shady coin as a rugpull from VC to kill retail and dump their bags on them. The subreddits favorite coins, Cardano (ADA), Algorand (ALGO), and Cosmos (ATOM) were going to be the next great coins after ETH. There were no big wall street VC backing those coin, just purely from the people - funded by the people. Solana was nothing but a scam coin with constant network issues.
