You can finally hold USDT on Tron in a self-custody wallet without a centralized exchange or a second app. The Bitcoin.com Wallet just added it natively, and honestly this solves a more real problem than most "innovations" in crypto. This is a smaller update than most of the stuff that gets hyped in here, but it fixes something that's genuinely annoyed me for years, so it's worth talking about. If you've ever needed to move USDT on Tron, and a huge share of the world's stablecoin volume moves on Tron specifically because the fees are tiny, you know the problem. Your options were basically: keep it on a centralized exchange (not your keys), or run a separate dedicated wallet app just for Tron. Most self-custody wallets either didn't support TRC-20 USDT or made it a pain. So a lot of people ended up leaving stablecoins sitting on Binance or wherever, which is exactly the custodial trap self-custody is supposed to avoid.
