If a stock share goes to 1000$ the company could split it up into like 10, so one share is 100$ and everyone who owned 1 share worth of 1000$ will automatically have 10 shares that are each 100$. Whats interesting is that the blockchain itself doesn't even know that 100,000,000 sats = 1 Btc. The blockchain only calculates in sats and has no idea what one bitcoin is - the one who makes 100,000,000 sats into 1 BTC, the one who sees 100,000,000 sats and says "that is one btc" are the websites, the exchanges, the wallets softwares, basically everything except the underlying code of bitcoin itself.
