Cryptos trade on multiple exchanges which makes it quite complex for accurate and complete data When you look at a crypto chart, it’s usually pulling data from just one exchange, Binance most likely. But Binance is only something like a fith of total trading volume. The rest happens on other exchanges (OKX, Bybit, Gate, Bitget and more) that most charts just don’t show you. I trade on the side, and once that actually clicked for me, it felt kind of dumb. I’d look at a chart and think “there was a lot of buying at this price” when really that was only a third of the buying, the other two-thirds was invisible to me. I assumed a tool that combined the data across exchanges into one chart already existed. Found plenty that let you switch between exchanges, but nothing that actually added them together into one number. A couple have aggregated data but only for DOM and volume, never footprints. So I built it myself, mostly for my own use at first. It’s XrayCharts. Pulls trade data from five exchanges and merges it into one chart instead of one-at-a-time. Only covers 8 coins so far since the merging only makes sense where all five exchanges trade a coin in real volume. I would love to know what you guys think of this and if you have time to give a look.
