BlackRock pushes BTC ETF while hoarding gold, what's the actual play here?? BlackRock keeps pushing the BTC ETF narrative while simultaneously stacking record gold positions. Not small allocations either, their gold holdings have been climbing all year. I keep going back and forth on two reads here. either they genuinely see BTC and gold as complementary hedges in a multi-asset strategy, or the ETF is a retail product they're selling to us and gold is where their actual book sits. Both are plausible and they lead to very different conclusions about what BTC actually is to these guys.
