Bitcoin above $81K is exciting, but I think the next few days matter more than the breakout itself Just now, BTC pushing through $81K is obviously a huge headline, but I think what happens after the breakout is more interesting than the breakout itself. A few days ago I thought a big part of the move was driven by shorts getting squeezed. Since then, BTC has actually managed to keep pushing higher instead of immediately giving everything back. That makes me think we’re starting to see a different market than we had a week ago. One thing I found interesting was a recent market note from MEXC. Their point wasn’t just that price is going up, it was that volatility has returned, open interest is rebuilding after the liquidation wave, and traders are now watching whether fresh spot demand can replace the forced buying that started the rally. That feels like the real question now, not whether BTC can print another green candle.
