Why I started buying Bitcoin hand over fist last week. It’s this simple! I have never owned Bitcoin until NOW and here is why I’m now buying and holding. Last week when Bessent announced he is doubling Treasury buybacks of US government long bonds it means this: Those bonds are ILLIQUID meaning the cash is largely locked up in them. Who holds them? Many people including hedge funds. Bessent just told these hedge funds that he will now BUY those previously ILLIQUID bonds creating new liquidity for hedge funds. This begins on Sept 9 but hedge funds are already front running this and buying Bitcoin. This is the mechanics of it in a nutshell. Many don’t currently understand this. They think that Bitcoins move is mostly from a short squeeze but they are not understanding the VERY IMPORTANT fundamental catalyst that has acted as the match to light the Bitcoin flame! This flame is not going away but will only grow as more and more government intervention is needed.
